Curriculum Vitae
Francesco Bucchi graduated in Vehicle Engineering at Università di Pisa in 2010 defending the thesis “Objective characterization of vehicle handling by a new approach” developed in collaboration with Centro Ricerche Fiat.
In 2014 he got his PhD at Università di Pisa defending the thesis “Smart materials and vehicle efficiency. Design and experimentation of new devices.“. During the PhD he spent three months visiting the Dynamic and Smart Systems Lab at the University of Toledo, OH. He is lecturer in Vehicle Design at the MSc course in Vehicle Engineering at the University of Pisa.
His research activities deal with analytical and numerical simulation of vehicle systems and components and with smart materials.
Up to december 2014 he published about 10 papers on international peer-reviewed journals and about 10 papers in Italian and International conferences.
In 2012 he was recognized with the Best Paper Award at the MSC Automotive User Conference and in 2014 with the AIAS Juniores Award.
