SINT Technology is located in Calenzano (FI) and is able to offer a wide range of products and services in the gage industry. The range of use of stress measures is extended to the most different applications, where a special sensitivity and accuracy is required.
An important partnership has been built between University of Pisa and SINT Technology in the measurement of residual stress  by hole-drilling method.


AM testing was established in 2008 as spin-off of the University of Pisa. Currently AM Testing is an independent company located in Ospedaletto (PI) which deals with mechanical transmissions design and testing.
The collaboration between AM Testing and the University of Pisa is continuos and is also integrated in the framework of the European funded project GeTFuTuRe.


ACTA, established in 2007, is a spin-off of the University of Pisa since 2009. Its main activities deal with R&D and advanced engineering in the fields of nuclear and industrial security, nuclear, energy and structural engineering, mechanical design and service and computational fluidodynamics. Main customers of ACTA are CMS SpA, GDF SUEZ SpA, Ansaldo Nucleare SpA, GLASS SERVICE Srl, etc.

ACTA main actual R&D activities regard the development of patented continuous transmissions for bicycle and wind turbine, and an innovative portable bike.
